Aware of the exceptional natural wealth of our region, we place environmental protection at the heart of our strategy. Our CSR approach is built around three strong commitments: biodiversity preservation, responsible purchasing, and rigorous waste management to limit our impact. Through these actions, we wish to offer our guests an experience of excellence that is sustainable and respectful of our ecosystem.

Beyond a distinction, this membership reflects our deep commitment to the values upheld by the association. Being Relais & Châteaux means committing together to a more harmonious world, and we are fully engaged in this endeavor.
Preserving Biodiversity
Biodiversity preservation is an essential pillar of our CSR approach. We take great pride in promoting this commitment, particularly through our exceptional garden, a true haven of greenery that contributes to our establishment’s reputation.
Located in the heart of a town surrounded by nature, between land and sea, the Estate benefits from a unique setting that is essential to protect and enhance.
Our Actions in Favor of Biodiversity
• Five beehives have been installed with a dedicated shelter for bees to support local biodiversity.
• A drip irrigation system and natural mulching help preserve soil moisture.
• No herbicides, insecticides, or pesticides are used in garden maintenance.
• The Garden of Scents was created in 2007 to offer a botanical and sensory immersion.
• A vegetable garden in open ground, cultivated since 2008, respects natural cycles and seasons.
• Beach cleanup operations are conducted in partnership with local associations.

Responsible and Committed Purchasing
Our environmental policy also relies on a responsible purchasing approach. We favor short supply chains, local, organic, and seasonal products to reduce our carbon footprint and support the regional economy. This requirement is reflected in our cuisine, the treatments offered at the spa, and the cleaning products used daily.
An Ethical and Sustainable Selection
• Implementation of a responsible purchasing charter with our suppliers.
• Organic and natural bath products from the Volupté brand.
100% of cleaning products used are eco-labeled.
• Spa treatments are performed with Paoma cosmetics, a French, organic, and ethical brand.
• Promotion of local producers in our restaurants.
• Use of products from our vegetable garden.
• Homemade jams, spreads, and churned butter.
Waste Management and Reduction
Waste management represents a major challenge in the hospitality sector. Aware of the impact generated by welcoming guests and restaurant operations, we have implemented a rigorous strategy aimed at reducing waste at the source and optimizing recycling.
Reduce, Recycle, and Give a Second Life
• Slippers are collected by the Hôtel Solidaire association.
• Used soaps are collected and recycled by SapoCycle.
• Card holders are printed on seed paper that can be planted.
• Water bottles are made from recycled cardboard with a sugarcane cap.
• Water is microfiltered on-site using the Aqua Chiara system.
• Homemade products are served in glass containers.
• Selective sorting is applied throughout the establishment: rooms, restaurants, and spa (glass, Nespresso capsules, plastics, paper, cardboard, and organic waste).
Green Key
Since 2024
Since 2024, Domaine du Mas de Pierre has been awarded the Green Key label, which recognizes establishments committed to sustainable daily management. This label emphasizes reducing environmental impacts and raising awareness among staff and guests. Renewal is annual, subject to regular monitoring and audits. Domaine du Mas de Pierre initiated an audit in 2025 to renew its label and continue its sustainable commitment.
European Ecolabel
Since 2019
Domaine du Mas de Pierre is proud to hold the European Ecolabel, an official certification that recognizes eco-responsible practices in tourism. This label guarantees a balance between quality of service and environmental respect. Certification is renewed every three years following a rigorous evaluation.
