With its first star in the Michelin Guide 2026, the fine dining restaurant La Table de Pierre is now among the region's top establishments. Nestled within Le Domaine du Mas de Pierre in Saint-Paul-de-Vence, thirty minutes from Nice, this gourmet hotel restaurant combines the rigor of high-level cuisine with the serenity of an exceptional Provençal setting, far from the hustle and bustle of the Côte d'Azur coastline.
La Table de Pierre, a fine dining restaurant in Nice and its surroundings
For gastronomy enthusiasts seeking a fine dining restaurant near Nice, La Table de Pierre is a destination in itself. What makes this distinction even more remarkable is that it was achieved in Executive Chef Rodolphe Loury’s first full year of operation, demonstrating a technical mastery and culinary vision immediately evident on the plate. His cuisine celebrates vegetables with rare precision, sublimating Provençal local produce through subtle combinations where seasonality guides each creation. Each tasting menu thus tells a coherent story, from the first amuse-bouche to the last mignardise, supported by a carefully curated wine list to accompany this singular culinary expression.
This recognition places La Table de Pierre restaurant in Saint-Paul-de-Vence in a very select category: that of Michelin-starred establishments accessible in less than an hour from the Côte d’Azur, in a natural and architectural setting that extends the dining experience to that of the entire estate.
A Hotel with a Fine Dining Restaurant: Two Experiences in One
La Table de Pierre is accessible to both residents of the estate and external guests, making it one of the rare fine dining hotels and restaurants in the PACA region where transient clientele mingles with those staying, in a shared atmosphere of refinement and attention to every detail of service.
For guests of the estate, dining at La Table de Pierre is the natural extension of a day spent in the gardens, at the spa, or by the pools. The transition between afternoon relaxation and the evening’s gastronomic experience is seamless, supported by the continuity of a service that knows its guests and anticipates their expectations. This fluidity between accommodation and dining is precisely what distinguishes a gourmet hotel restaurant of this nature from a classic Michelin-starred establishment.
A Table that Embodies the Identity of its Region
Whether staying at the estate or coming specially from Nice and its surroundings, guests of La Table de Pierre share the same experience: that of seasonal cuisine rooted in its territory, served in a Provençal estate where the beauty of the setting dialogues with the exacting standards of the plate.
Among the fine dining restaurants in Nice and its surroundings, few can offer this continuity between the place, the cuisine, and the art of hospitality. Chef Loury’s culinary philosophy, centered on naturalness and respect for the product, resonates with the very identity of Saint-Paul-de-Vence, a village whose artistic and cultural history has always celebrated the beauty of simple things brought to their point of excellence. This fine dining restaurant located in France thus embodies, with rare coherence, the spirit of a place and an entire region.
